House Party movie review & film summary 1990

So Columbia’s president has passed this test before this committee. She talks about the number of students that have been suspended, but also the number of faculty that she’s had removed from the classroom that are being investigated for comments that either violate some of Columbia’s rules or make students uncomfortable. For example, just four days after the harrowing October 7 attack, a former Columbia undergraduate beat an Israeli student with a stick. And right off the bat, they’re put through a pretty humbling litany of some of the worst hits of what’s been happening on campus. And two of the presidents, Claudine Gay of Harvard and Elizabeth Magill of the University of Pennsylvania, they’re unwilling to say in this really kind of intense back and forth that this speech would constitute a violation of their rules.

Casting

And by that, I mean, this thing that seemed to start at Columbia is literally spreading. Well, I don’t think it’s just limited to college campuses. We have seen intense feelings about this conflict play out in Hollywood. We’ve seen them in our politics in all kinds of interesting ways. That reality, that taking a different tack that was supposed to be full of learnings and lessons from the stumbles of her peers, the fact that didn’t really work suggests that there’s something really intractable going on here. And I wonder how you’re thinking about this intractable situation that’s now arrived on these college campuses.

He got his degree on the subject of Quentin Tarantino's work in light of the quotation theory. Before getting into professional writing, Luka wrote short stories and several screenplays but started his career as a journalist for several prominent Croatian sports websites. His love for cinematography blossomed even more after working as a student in a five-star movie theater in Osijek. Luka’s biggest passions are psychological thrillers, horrors, and mysteries, as well as true crime documentaries and adaptations.

Settings

They feel that she’s crossed a boundary that hasn’t been crossed on Columbia’s campus in a really long time. I think there was obviously a lot of intention in timing those two things. I think it’s inherently a critique on a political pressure and this congressional pressure that we saw build up against, of course, Claudine Gay at Harvard and Magill at UPenn. And there was no clearer embodiment of that than what had happened that morning just as President Shafik was going to testify before Congress. A group of students before dawn set up tents in the middle of Columbia’s campus and declared themselves a pro-Palestinian encampment in open defiance of the very rules that Dr. Shafik had put in place to try and get these protests under control. The Republican Chairwoman of the Committee, Virginia Foxx, starts reminding her that there was a student who was actually hit with a stick on campus.

They asked that the University divest from businesses that profit from Israel’s military operations in Gaza. But instead of making any progress, the protests are met with further crackdown by the University. Yes, it certainly came as a surprise, especially at “Spectator.” We’re nerds of the University in the sense that we are familiar with faculty and University governance. But even to us, we had no idea where this policy was coming from. And this suspension was really the first time that it entered most students’ sphere.

And so when you have a question that feels as urgent as this war does for a lot of people, I think it reverberates in an incredibly intense way on those campuses. And there’s something like — I don’t know if it’s quite a contradiction of terms, but there’s a collision of different values at stake. So universities thrive on the ability of students to follow their minds and their voices where they go, to maybe even experiment a little bit and find those things. But back on campus, some of the students and faculty who had been watching the hearing came away with a very different set of conclusions. But not all the punchlines land—like a jab about being paid "Mexican wages" in front of a Latino character, which takes a little fun out of the carefree atmosphere.

You might’ve noticed that the only movie not having ‘House Party’ in the title is ‘Class Act.’ That is because the film does not officially belong to the ‘House Party’ series but features the two lead actors (hip-hop stars Kid ‘N Play) in the main role. Despite playing totally different characters, many fans still consider it to be a part of the franchise. The House Party franchise consists of American comedies, based on a short film written/directed by Reginald Hudlin in 1990. The franchise consists of the original short film, three theatrical releases (the first film and its first two sequels), two straight-to-home video sequels, and one theatrical continuation movie.

Kid ‘n Play, portraying rival rappers, incarnated the film’s spiky-but-suave, raunchy-but-romantic tone. “House Party,” made with affectionate brashness by the Hudlin brothers, celebrated the way that a great party could seem like it was everything. One reason the film is so fondly remembered is that its fast-break wit was an expression of pure joy.

The movie also features Tisha Martin-Campbell, Martin Lawrence, A.J. Johnson, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell and Full Force (Paul Anthony, Bowlegged Lou and B-Fine). Terrell Smith has a diverse writing background having penned material for a wide array of clients including the federal government and Bravo television personalities. When he’s not writing as Terrell, he’s writing under his pseudonym Tavion Scott, creating scripts for his audio drama podcasts.

The makers of the 2023 reboot, also called "House Party," faced a daunting challenge then in crafting a film that lived up to the legacy and enduring popularity of the original. According to the collective of critics whose scores were tabulated by Rotten Tomatoes, the new "House Party" fell short, and pales in comparison to its predecessor. The 2023 "House Party" achieved a score of 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on the reviews of 37 critics. Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times lamented the preponderance of "unfunny gags," while Brian Richards of Pajiba said, "This version wasn't as funny or as good as it could've been." A few weeks later, DC Young Fly was also announced as part of the cast (via ComicBook.com), although it's unclear what role he will play, followed by Karen Obilom ("Doom Patrol," via Variety). In July 2021, according to Deadline, Lendeborg walked away from the "Party" to attend to his mental health, and Jacob Lattimore of "The Chi" joined the movie in his stead.

It seemed, instead, to really intensify everything on campus. Can I — I just have a question for you, which is all journalism, student journalism or not student journalism, is a first draft of history. And I wonder if we think of this as a historic moment for Columbia, how you imagine it’s going to be remembered. Yeah, I can certainly speak to the fact that I’ve seen my own peers, friends, or even acquaintances, who weren’t necessarily previously very involved in activism and organizing efforts, suddenly finding themselves involved. And you have all of those people not necessarily out of commission, but with their focus elsewhere.

Among the many great movies that take place during parties, the definitive crown jewel of the bunch would have to be the aptly titled House Party, directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Reginald Hudlin and starring hip-hop duo Kid ’N Play. New Line Cinema – who produced the original – have apparently taken the acclaim to heart and have made a reimagining of the classic 1990 cult comedy for a new generation that has become one of the most anticipated 2023 movies since. The following is our list of all the essential, confirmed facts there are to know about the House Party remake so far – starting with a mention of when this party is getting started. Soirée, there are plenty of A-listers that make the rounds at this house party, running the gamut from actor and screenwriter Lena Waithe to entrepreneur Mark Cuban. The most special cameo of the film, however, might be the brief appearance of the original franchise stars, Kid ‘n Play, who steal the show in a zany party scene that won’t soon be forgotten. As party dreams go, this one has an undeniable logic (and potential for disaster), but the thing that really strikes one about it is that its goal is as avaricious as it is coldly aspirational.

The scrappy and modest intentions of the first movie are replaced by the need to make it look flashy and more expensive than authentic. In trying to appeal to the new generation, the filmmakers lose something of yesteryear's appeal. To sell this opulent party, the new "House Party" doubles down on the famous cameos, something the original started with George Clinton, but in the interest of not spoiling some of the movie's best surprises, I'll leave them unnamed.

What Does A Pineapple On A Cruise Ship Door Mean?

pineapple on cruise door

However, just like with the black ring, not everyone who has a door knocker on their door is a swinger. Cruises offer a unique opportunity for swingers to meet and connect with other like-minded individuals. With thousands of people on board, it’s easy to see why they are a popular destination for swingers. Swinging is where consenting couples engage in sexual activities with other couples or individuals.

Is the presence of swingers indicated by wearing pineapples on a cruise?

Garry said he and his wife have found swingers trips to be "just so much fun" in general, even if you keep it platonic. Many swingers also use the term "the lifestyle," rather than the word swinging, which could have different connotations. On cruises, however, he said passengers get on and off the ship at the same time, and have a similar mindset about where they are going to connect and how fast they will – or will not – move forward. Scott brought pineapple-shaped towel clips for the lounge chairs on his January cruise to the Caribbean. As the pineapple’s popularity grew, it began to appear in various forms of artwork, architecture, and décor. The unique shape and vibrant appearance of the fruit made it a sought-after motif in furniture, textiles, and even carved into the facades of grand buildings.

Pineapple Upside-Down Swingers FAQ

In 18th-century Europe, pineapples were a rare and exotic fruit that was often used as a symbol of wealth and hospitality. They were so rare, in fact, that they were often rented out for parties and events. When a host wanted to show off their wealth and hospitality, they would display a pineapple prominently in their home. The pineapple emoji’s meaning depends mostly on the context in which it is used. If the context is a little more adult-related and flirty it could but a hint towards some adult fun like swinging 🍍.

How is the upside-down pineapple symbol used to signal involvement in swinging on a cruise?

One theory is that the upside-down pineapple on a cruise ship was used as a code for swingers. When a couple hung an upside-down pineapple outside their cabin, it was a signal to other swingers that they were open to swapping partners. The symbol was discreet and easily recognizable, allowing swingers to identify each other without drawing attention from non-swingers.

However, the truth is that you won’t likely notice any swinging behavior unless you are looking for it. Hawaii is a state that is known for its pineapple plantations and pineapple upside-down cake. However, if you’re in a Facebook group for a particular cruise sailing and someone leaves a message with “Who wants to meet up on the ship? 🍍🍍🍍”, then you can be pretty sure that they’re not looking for someone to play cards with. For example, if you see a pineapple in someone’s shopping basket, that’s probably just a healthy snack. Strictly Necessary Cookie should be enabled at all times so that we can save your preferences for cookie settings.

Swingers are often married or in committed relationships and are looking to spice up their sex lives by exploring new sexual experiences with others. Then I just happened to ask a fellow cruiser one day about her upside down pineapple T-shirt. Now if that upside down pineapple meaning comes as a bit of a shock to you, you are not alone. A pineapple flag usually indicated the more widely known meaning of welcoming and hospitality. If the pineapple is upside down on the flag it could be indicated it is to do with a swinging event or location. In the past, a pineapple displayed in the home has been a symbol of luxury and wealth.

"So, when you put them on, they would actually technically be hanging upside down," Scott told USA TODAY, referring to the upside-down pineapple, a symbol that you and your partner are swingers. Scott asked that his last name not be used because of possible retribution from friends and family and lost job prospects. Over time, this symbolism of the upside-down pineapple as a symbol of welcome and hospitality gradually transitioned into other aspects of society, including the world of cruising. If, however, you would feel weird wearing a pineapple shirt or bathing suit knowing what it might imply, it might be best to look for other outfit options. Swingers need to be friendly in order to meet other individuals, so that -- coupled with the infamous pineapple upside down cake -- seemed to make it a subtle choice. This Upside Down Pineapple T-Shirt with the slogan ‘if you know, you know’ is one of the most obvious ways to identify others interested in cruise ship swinging.

Must-Have Travel Accessories

While some may still use the pineapple as a symbol to identify themselves, it once was more common. In fact, in the past, pineapples were often given as gifts to guests as a symbol of welcome and hospitality. Over time, the pineapple’s symbolism has evolved, often used by people to convey a message of friendship and camaraderie. Here are some common questions and answers about the significance of the upside-down pineapple symbol on a cruise ship. It is a commonly used decoration on cruise ships and is often used to serve tropical drinks. You might not even be aware of the significance of the pineapple symbol, and you could have accidentally displayed it on your stateroom door.

How Do Cruise Ship Swingers Identify Themselves?

In our experience on Virgin’s Valiant Lady cruise ship, this wasn’t something we noticed. Its hard to pinpoint the exact time swingers adopted the upside-down pineapple as a symbol or secret code. However, urban legend has it that swingers have been placing an upside-down pineapple in their grocery shopping carts for years, to let others who were into the lifestyle know.

Swinging, or partner-swapping, is a consensual non-monogamous sexual activity that involves couples engaging in sexual activities with other couples. During this time, swinging was often considered taboo and was not openly discussed. For many decades, the upside-down pineapple has been used as a symbol of hospitality, warmth, and friendship in various vacation spots, in particular on cruises.

While there are cruises specifically for swingers, it’s not uncommon for people in committed relationships to seek out partners for wife-swapping or partner-swapping on regular cruises. In other words, an upside-down pineapple is a secret code used by swingers to find each other on cruise ships. If you see someone wearing an upside-down pineapple badge or pin, it means that they’re actively looking for a partner swap. An upside-down pineapple on someone’s front porch can be seen as an invitation to join a swinger party.

It’s important to separate fact from fiction and understand the potential misunderstandings surrounding this symbol. If you're not a member of this lifestyle, you may want to avoid displaying an upside down pineapple to avoid awkward interactions. Swinging is not a common activity on the majority of mainstream cruise ships.

Even when used legitimately, it’s simply to start a conversation amongst like-minded people. For those embarking on their first cruise adventure, understanding these distinctions is crucial. It’s important to know that not all stateroom decorations are part of a covert system.

Over time, different cruise lines have developed their own interpretations of the pineapple tradition. Some use carved wooden pineapples, while others opt for more modern representations like brass or metal plaques. The size and placement of the pineapple can also vary, with some ships featuring larger and more prominent pineapples, while others incorporate smaller and more subtle designs. Another misconception is that the upside-down pineapple automatically equates to a cruise ship being a swinger or alternative lifestyle-friendly environment.

The upside-down pineapple is a discreet symbol used by some cruisers to indicate their participation in the swinger lifestyle, a community that embraces partner swapping and open sexual exploration. On a cruise ship, the secret symbol of an upside-down pineapple is regularly used as a code for swinging or “wife-swapping”. In most cases, an illustrated and upside-down pineapple is fixed to the cabin door of a guest interested in swinging and partner swapping. It serves as a conversation starter and a way for guests to connect with one another. Passengers who notice pineapple decorations on cabin doors often strike up friendly conversations, sharing their excitement about the journey ahead and forming new connections with fellow travelers. I've been on over a dozen cruises, and I have never seen an upside down pineapple on a cabin door!

Now, many cruisers know about it, and it has become the subject of many jokes in the cruise community. Although cruise lines don’t advertise the upside-down pineapple lifestyle, they certainly know it’s a thing! Since the upside-down pineapple has become such a well-known symbol among cruisers, some cruise lines have acknowledged it.

New Shanghai Disneyland Roller-Coaster Layout Revealed WDW News Today

cruise with roller coaster

This was extremely disruptive and added to the already loud atmosphere. For the wow factor, the best drink I had was A Pearly Bubble. Found on the menu at the Golden Mermaid, it's a mix of gin, St-Germain liqueur, white cranberry juice, dragon fruit and lime juice.

Carnival Cruise Line’s BOLT - The First Rollercoaster at Sea

Here's the rundown on what you can expect on board so you can determine if Carnival Jubilee is right for your next sailing. Randy Young is the founder and editor-in-chief at Cruise Spotlight. He has been in marketing for 19 years and has been cruising for just as long. Over the years, he's worked with products like TVs, copiers, light bulbs, and EV chargers, but cruising has always been his passion. There's nothing Randy likes more than the first couple of hours on a ship, exploring every nook and cranny and seeing how it's different from everything else out there.

How does BOLT compare to other roller coasters?

I went solo on my first ride, which was good because I didn't want to have to fight anyone for control over the speed. Dining venues in the zone include casual places for pizza and burgers, but also feature some of the line’s signature restaurants, such as Rudi’s Seagrill and Cucina del Capitano. Shores, on Dec 8, offers a shoreside experience with boardwalks, piers, and beaches.

Is It Worth $15 for Just One Ride?

My 11-year-old son and I decided to try the roller coaster first. As there was no line, and we were only going to pay to ride once, we decided to go solo in our own cars. The two cars race along the track at the same time, with the second starting after a delay, so we could ride at the same time. You can also make a reservation on Carnival's Hub app for a specific time – recommended if you want to ride during a popular time, such as on a sea day. The reservation option was not working on my app on the first day of our Carnival Celebration cruise, but we met people who successfully made reservations on theirs.

You can also station someone else on the ground to get pictures. There are quite a few good locations to take photos from all over the “Ultimate Playground” on Deck 18. There’s also a spare car stationed on the deck that you can use for a picture opportunity after you ride. The G-force on the BOLT is about a third of the other two coasters, in line with what drivers of a Formula One race car might feel. The BOLT takes the SkyRide concept and takes it to the next level.

How Many People Can Ride At Once?

Pool lifts accommodating up to 300 pounds are available for passengers with limited mobility. There's also a hot tub at Loft 19 on Deck 19, which charges a fee for access. I also wasn't impressed with how long it took a bartender to ask for my order, especially since it wasn't particularly crowded.

Worth It? Complete Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Drink Package Guide

Do yourself a favor and try the chicken and biscuit combo with fries. One of the best ways Carnival provides value to its customers is through its food offerings. Complimentary dining abounds on Carnival Jubilee, and the variety of cuisines is impressive. You'll find more free options on Carnival ships than on just about any other fleet's vessels, and they're actually tasty. It's entirely possible to eat only food that's included in the cruise fare and not feel like you're missing out.

How long does the ride on BOLT last?

However, a couple of passengers told me they could hear noise from Bolt in their balcony cabin on Deck 15. There, you can order any of the same coffee beverages you'll find at JavaBlue but in far less time. If you're feeling more like a cocktail, you can grab one of those, too. On my sailing, the bartenders were phenomenal and even remembered that I prefer non-dairy milk with my lattes.

TPG app

Additionally, passengers are not allowed to wear dresses, skirts or open-toed shoes in order to ride, and they must be in good physical condition and able to hold onto the handrails. Cruisers cannot be intoxicated while riding, and their clothing must be dry (no swimwear allowed). During the evenings, the official dress code is pretty laid-back. Most nights are designated "cruise casual," which means just that — khakis or jeans, polo shirts, sundresses and the like.

cruise with roller coaster

The speed is controlled by riders, who can make it go up to 40 miles per hour. The roller coaster on Mardi Gras has been one of the most anticipated new cruise ship features in years and thanks to Maurer Rides in Germany, that concept became a reality. The 220-meter track is located towards the ship’s aft 150 meters above sea level. BOLT can reach speeds up to 60 KPH and offers thrilling twists and turns, including around the iconic Carnival funnel. To ride the BOLT roller coaster, you’ll have to make a reservation in advance via the Carnival HUB app.

Also on Deck 8 are Coastal Slice and neighboring Beach Buns, which respectively replace the pizza and deli counters found by the pool on most other Carnival ships. Ambulatory-accessible rooms provide accommodations for people who walk with the help of assistive devices like canes or walkers. On my sailing, I stayed in a balcony cabin, which was elegantly decorated in neutrals with blue accents.

The first couple had to do with differences between the Carnival HUB app and the daily Fun Times printed schedule. On one occasion, the app said Seafood Shack opened half an hour earlier than it did, while the paper version of the daily schedule had the correct information. Another time, the printed daily had the wrong theater show listed for that night; the correct one was posted in the HUB. On another day, the printed schedule was missing part four of a four-part show, which did show up on the agenda in the app.

While policies may vary between river cruise lines, generally, the restrictions on bringing outside food are similar to those on ocean cruises. It’s best to check with your specific river cruise line for their guidelines.

Things to keep in mind if you decide to bring food items or drinks

What’s a bag of chips without something to wash it down with? Cruise lines vary on their policies when it comes to bringing non-alcoholic drinks. Some (like Carnival and Royal Caribbean) allow you to bring on drinks with you when boarding. For the reasons just cited, you aren’t allowed to bring on fruits and vegetables or home cooked items on your cruise.

In other words, you’re welcome to bring pre-packaged snacks and treats for you or your kids to eat onboard your cruise. Toting beverages onto a cruise ship can be a bit more nuanced than snacks or candy, so make sure you know what’s permitted on your specific cruise line before you stock up. This is because cruise lines can have wildly different policies.

Instead, the only food and snacks you are allowed to bring with you are pre-packaged and processed items. Another major issue with food and cruise ships has to do with illness. Being sick on a cruise is no fun, and the only thing worse is spreading that sickness to others in the confined space of a ship. In other words, if you cooked something homemade and it made people sick, that wouldn’t be good. If you need to carry snacks in the Caribbean, then you should opt for pre-packaged food only. Depending on the ship, you may find mini boxes of cereal at the breakfast buffet, which are good for kids.

Moreover, it can be quite helpful to have these items in your cabin, especially if you have kids. This blog helps over a million people to plan their cruises each month. If you deny having fruit or vegetables and then you’re caught with them, you could face a hefty fine. This is because Caribbean islands have delicate ecosystems so you can’t risk bringing anything that could cause harm to the natural balance. A cruise is an exciting way to travel and escape your everyday life for a bit. The only downside to a cruise is figuring out what you can and cannot pack.

Passengers with medical needs should also notify the cruise line in advance. The ship's medical staff can provide medical care and assistance for a variety of conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and mobility issues. It is important to bring all necessary medications and medical equipment on board, as well as a copy of the passenger's medical records. Shelf-stable snacks like chips, pretzels, protein bars or any other items packaged in sealed wrappers are permitted on every major cruise line.

These items should also be in their original packaging and unopened. It is important to note that homemade baby food is not allowed on cruises. Cruises offer a unique opportunity to indulge in a variety of cuisines, from fine dining to casual snacks. However, many travelers wonder if they can bring their own food on board. Do you have questions about bringing food, snacks and drinks on a cruise? Please share your experiences, questions and tips in the comments below.

In casual eateries like the buffet, the attire is casual no matter the time or day. That means shorts are fine, as well as hats, tank tops and t-shirts. Shoes are required, and if you are wearing a swimsuit, you’ll be expected to be covered up somewhat. You’ll find a menu in your cabin with tons of options from snacks to full meals. If not in the dining rooms you will be more on your own, but modern ships typically have a wide variety options and label items that are vegetarian or vegan. If you have something special that you need to be considered when dining, it’s no big deal.

Santorini Sunset Cruises

santorini sunset cruise

Also, keep in mind that safety is very important for boating. So, ask the tour provider about their safety rules. Ask about how they keep passengers safe. Depending on the tour, there may be live music or entertainment on board. Ask for details about what is in the cruise.

What is the location of the boat during sunset time?

There are many different Santorini sunset cruises to choose from. Some last up to 5 hours, taking you to the striking Santorini Red Beach and the remote White Beach before turning into the caldera for sunset. The view from the church over the caldera is fantastic, but there’s an even better one a short walk away which we’ll tell you about in the next section. I suggest heading visiting Agios Minas minutes before the last light of the day to see the astonishing late light on this beautiful church, rich against the deep blue evening sky. Santorini is a unique volcanic island, its villages perched atop 200-metre-high cliffs with outstanding views over the caldera below and the surrounding Cyclades islands.

Three Bells of Fira

In my Santorini sunset guide we show you the best sunset spots in Santorini, and also suggest some Santorini sunset cruises, a magical way to experience the sunset down on the caldera. Delight in astonishing views as you witness the world-renowned sunset of Santorini. Witness the sky filling in with pink colors under the picturesque village of Oia.

Other islands:

It’s best to check with the tour provider for their prices. Compare them to find the best deal for you. These include the Red and White beaches, the hot springs, and the towns of Oia and Fira.

Oia:

Climb aboard a sleeky and luxurious yacht, fully equipped for all your needs. Set sail out onto the calm waters of the Aegean Sea. It’s also important to follow any instructions or guidelines from the tour provider.

If you’re staying longer in Santorini and want to catch more sunsets, I’d consider an evening in the hill village of Pyrgos and possibly Akrotiri lighthouse. Delight in a delicious homemade traditional greek meal onboard. Savor Santorini classics such as tomato fritters, fava, Greek salad, tzatziki, and stuffed bell peppers or greek pasta with a local tomato sauce and fresh shrimp. Observe one of Santorini’s most peculiar natural wonders at the volcanic hot springs.

When your Sunset Cruise in Santorini ends you will be transferred back to your hotel or Airbnb to relax after a fabulous evening on the Aegean waters of Santorini. A glass of complimentary Greek wine or beer/soda is offered by the crew and will provide the finishing touches as the sun begins to set. If you visit Santorini, even for one day, do all within your powers to stay overnight and enjoy a Santorini sunset.

Cruise by the Hot Springs

You can extend the tour by opting to watch the sunset from the village of Oia. Unlike several of the other Santorini sunset cruises which take place aboard a catamaran, sailing on the King Thiras is a completely different experience. After your hike and swim, you can enjoy a dinner buffet of traditional Greek dishes such as pork souvlaki, tzatziki and Greek salad.

A guide can give useful info about the sights and landmarks you will see on the cruise. They also cover the island’s history and culture. If the tour includes food, check if it has options for dietary restrictions or allergies. These might include vegetarian or gluten-free options.

Continue to Indian Rock and the Lighting House, where the sails will be opened to sail inside the caldera. Stop for a barbecue dinner, prepared and served by the crew. Sip some local white wine and listen to the sound of the waves as the sun sets into the sea. The bus will take you to the port of Athinios to get on board of King Thiras and enjoy a welcome drink. The boat will sail under the Caldera and our Captain will take you to the best spots to enjoy the view and take spectacular pictures of the Caldera and the Volcano. At the same time the crew will have prepared the delicious buffet dinner that will be served during the cruise.

Some cruises may also include drinks, snacks, or a light meal. But, it typically includes a boat trip around the island at sunset. You can take in the views of the caldera, the volcano, and the sunset.

This is an incredible way to see the Santorini cliffs and stare up at the villages perched on the caldera’s edge. The motor yachts allow for much more freedom in getting around the volcanic islands and seeing the caldera from every different angle. On a catamaran, you feel like you’re on vacation. On the motor yachts it feels a little more like you’re on an adventure (though there’s still plenty of swimming, snorkeling, eating, and drinking).
